In addition to being known for its dreamy beaches, Mallorca can proudly boast some truly wonderful villages — both coastal and inland. These are perfect places for strolling, getting a closer look at local culture and traditions, and getting lost in their charming streets.

At MarSenses Hotels & Homes, we highly recommend visiting as many villages as possible. This way, you can truly appreciate their beauty, the warmth of their people, and, of course, their markets.
The “mercadillos”, as they are traditionally called, are the perfect spots to experience traditional gastronomy and culture: food stalls, clothing, handmade household items, art, and lots of authentic Mallorcan spirit.

You’ll find a mix of locals, tourists, farmers, and ranchers wandering through the streets, making these markets a perfect combination of tradition, culture, and shopping.
