If this summer you’re staying at the MarSenses Paradise Club Hotel, in Cala en Bosch, you’re in one of the most comfortable and lively areas in the southwest of Menorca. In addition to enjoying the hotel’s facilities, July is a month full of light, warmth, and possibilities. Here we suggest activities and spots to explore very close to the hotel, without the need for long trips.

From the Cala en Bosch Marina (just a 3-minute walk from the hotel), boat excursions depart daily that take you to discover paradise-like coves such as Cala Macarella and Macarelleta, Cala Turqueta, or Son Saura.
These excursions usually include stops for swimming, snorkeling, and free time at the beach.

Tip: Book in advance, especially if you want to join a sunset excursion. There are also options in catamaran or glass-bottom boats for families.

The waters in this area are ideal for beginners in snorkeling. You can do it on your own in the areas near the Artrutx Lighthouse or in the coves near Son Xoriguer.
Another option to consider is renting a kayak or practicing paddle surfing at Son Xoriguer Beach, just a 10–15-minute walk from the hotel.

Family tip: there are shallow and safe areas where the little ones can enjoy the sea without risk.

At night, the harbor near our MarSenses Paradise Club Hotel fills with atmosphere, music, and lights. It’s a perfect place to enjoy good food, good company, try traditional drinks, and delight in live music or shows for the little ones.

If you’re visiting the island in July, don’t miss the Festes de Sant Jaume in Ciutadella (July 25th). Just 15–20 minutes away by car or bus, Ciutadella comes alive to celebrate Sant Jaume. Although they are not as famous as the Sant Joan festivities, they preserve that Menorcan spirit, offering horse parades (jaleo), traditional music, artisan markets, and fireworks.

Local tip: Visit Ciutadella in the afternoon and stay for the evening festivities. The historic center is beautifully lit.

July is night market season in Menorca’s towns, and close to the hotel we have the Artisan Market in Cala en Bosch (check dates at the hotel reception), where you can take home an authentic souvenir or a handmade item by local artisans.

The most important thing during your vacation is to enjoy the peace and quiet the island offers, as well as its local cuisine. Don’t forget to ask our Guest Experience or hotel staff for more specific recommendations and their personal favorites.

A tip from a local always has that extra bit of magic.
ENJOY!
