This season we have started our participation in the “Circular Hotels” project, promoted by the company Tirme, which seeks to optimise the circularity of our organic waste. This action is divided into 4 phases:
– from MarSenses Rosa del Mar Hotel & Spa and MarSenses Puerto Pollensa Hotel & Spa we carry out the selective separation of food waste which is weighed on digital scales with the FINHAVA system, which allows us to collect measurable and real data in terms of circular economy.
– The containers are collected by the local municipal company.
– TIRME transforms this waste into organic compost.
– the farmers will grow vegetables and fruit, which will be served in our buffets, to “close the circle” ♻️
With this plan we seek to promote the consumption of km0 products and the work of local suppliers, while at the same time giving value to the compost with its contribution of nutrients to the soil.
